stay classy
So many times, I have been attracted to the giant flashing sale signs only to be swept away on a tide of discounts and prospective savings.
I can confidently say that nearly all of those impulse buys have gone unused, collecting dust somewhere in the abyss of my closet.
Especially for high end designers, a piece that bears their name and a slashed price is enticing, I'll be the first to admit that.
Lately, I've learned the value of judging the piece based on the current pricing, not by the percentage it has gone down and found that the classic pieces really are the best value.
Sure, there are times where some of the seasonal pieces will fit in better with my wardrobe, and I can hope that they will be discounted.
In the end, however, I have gotten the most use out of the two extremes: ultra bargains and classics.

seattle street food
original burger & seasoned fries, peach ginger fresca
skillet: mobile diner
possibly some of the best food I've ever tasted at an amazing price point.
They deliver 5-star restuarant food for a fraction of the cost. How? By operating out of a mobile cart - no joke.
Every day, the cart parks in a different part of seattle (or neighboring cities), but no matter where it goes, the lines are always ridiculously long.
It's well worth the wait, though. All the ingredients are freshly prepared and the patties of the burgers are endearingly misshapen. If I could, I would eat at skillet every day of the week :)

remnants of summer
h&m sweater, mcqueen scarf, louboutin pumps, giant toast ♥
a new piece to add to my collection :)
Although, there WAS a giant cinnamon bun there as well.. :D
I wonder if sometimes it's too childish to buy things like this, but then again, things like this remind me of how simple life can be.
