ONE.
shit like this bothers me.
mainstream sucks ass.
i've said it before
and i'll say it again
forever and ever until it stops
because people are shallow
and stupid.
die hard fans.
we lived with their music.
loved it when it was still young
and fresh
straight from the source.
no tampering.
when it still had meaning
and was full of hope.
signing on contracts
enlarging the audience pool
it made money.
but lost the rest.
i admire them for that.
the first real group
that was so down to earth.
they thought about the music
and the process
about the life.
and ended everything they had worked for
started anew.
brought it all back to the beginning.
and yet
all people can remember?
the songs that were made to generate buzz.
no doubt the catchiest
swankiest
most marketed songs.
those were only there to gain attention.
nothing like that on Map the Soul.
no single hyper-techno song.
no extreme modifications.
just the sweet intentions behind the magic of the lyrics.
it seriously is love.
and i'd do it all over again.
