ONE TWELVE

I like New Year's as much as the next person
I understand it's a signal for change
but to think that everyone will change is a load of shit
those resolutions I make every year
I doubt I've ever kept any one of them
just because I realize how useless they really are
and it only takes me a couple weeks into the new year

2010 though
will be a year of plans
because I have one whole year
to plan and decide
and then prepare
for Milan, Italy

whether in 2011 or 2012
I'm going
that's the only promise I'll make to myself this year
to not let any worries block me from going
because this is one opportunity I will never again receive
I will work past the financial barriers
and the culture barriers
and the language barriers

DA - I'll be there.
